Oinoe, Ikaria island: fragmentary inscription reproducing an oracle in which Apollo predicts a temple’s future conversion to a house of Holy Mary (IG 12.6.2.1265); it was intended to provide the island’s community with the ideological justification for the conversion of a pagan temple into a church.
