AMS Historica is the repository dedicated to the digitization of artworks, monuments, archaeological finds, manuscript codes, papyri, books, magazines, newspapers, maps, drawings, photographs, audio and video resources, and any other work of artistic, historical, archaeological, ethnological, anthropological, archival, and bibliographic interest preserved in the libraries, museums, and archives of the University of Bologna, or resulting from national and international research projects. In line with the University Policy on Digital Cultural Heritage, AMS Historica ensures compliance with national and international guidelines and standards that promote long-term preservation and the enhancement of digitized works. The contents of this repository are indexed by Cultura Italia, Europeana, OpenAIRE, WorldCat and BASE. Digitized works are published with usage licenses that encourage discovery, study, sharing, and reuse in accordance with the principles of Open Science. AlmaDL offers professional assistance to the research teams, the museums, the archives and the libraries of the University of Bologna involved in digitization projects of cultural, historical and scientific interest. The digital contents published in AMS Historica repository originate from initiatives of different disciplinary domains supporting research, teaching and learning or the promotion of cultural heritage. The deposit in AMS Historica repository guarantees preservation, visibility and access to multi-domain digital contents — texts, audio, video, images — according to national and international standards and thanks to the use of open formats and interoperability protocols. The open source platform used for the repository, DSpace-GLAM, integrates DSpace technology and IIIF ecosystems providing features and browsing modes that are particularly effective for viewing and studying digitized contents. AlmaDL staff offers support for:
