General Information

AMS Historica is the repository dedicated to the digitization of artworks, monuments, archaeological finds, manuscript codes, papyri, books, magazines, newspapers, maps, drawings, photographs, audio and video resources, and any other work of artistic, historical, archaeological, ethnological, anthropological, archival, and bibliographic interest preserved in the libraries, museums, and archives of the University of Bologna, or resulting from national and international research projects.

In line with the University Policy on Digital Cultural Heritage, AMS Historica ensures compliance with national and international guidelines and standards that promote long-term preservation and the enhancement of digitized works. The contents of this repository are indexed by Cultura Italia, Europeana, OpenAIRE, WorldCat and BASE.

Digitized works are published with usage licenses that encourage discovery, study, sharing, and reuse in accordance with the principles of Open Science. The usage licenses and service delivery methods are detailed on the Service Terms and Conditions page.
