Archiepiscopal Chapel wall mosaic decoration, vestibule, lunette: Christ treading on the beasts. Jesus Christ is depicted beardless, crowned with jewelled halo and dressed with tunic, clam and lorica. He is trampling lion’s and snake’s heads, holding a cross rod and an open book with the words: Ego sum via veritas et vita. (Late 5th-early 6th c.)
