dc.description<p>Basilica of Sant'Apollinare Nuovo, wall mosaic decoration, first zone: the miracle of the marriage-feast at Cana.<br>The original iconography is evidenced by an engraving published in: Giovanni Giustino Ciampini “Vetera Monimenta...”, Rome 1699.<br>In the nineteenth century the restorations replaced the jars with baskets and reworked the right side of the scene.</p>
