At the right edge, the elder prophet Zacharias welcomes the child Maria at the entrance to the Sancta Sanctorum of the Temple of Solomon, extending both hands forward. Her parents, Anna kai Joachim, follow behind Panagia and with distinct gestures offer her to the archpriest. Three young women holding tapers follow, conversing amongst themselves.
