Catherine is holding a broken wheel with iron spokes and a book that represents the erudition of the Alexandrian princess. She is wearing a red dress, buttoned at the front and with folds under the breast and a mantle with fur trimming. Irene is wearing the Byzantine imperial cord and precious crown and is holding a cross. All are wearing jeweled hanging earrings. |
