Title: Holy Bishopric of Morphou: The paradise, Church of the Holy Virgin in Moutoullas

Palm and banana trees among others are set against a white background in order to symbolize the plantation of the Paradise. On the left side, the Holy Virgin is seated on a wooden throne with an inscription in ligature on her both sides meaning: ''The Mother of God'', flanked by angels. Above the Holy Virgin, we can red ''Paradise''. Abraham with his white, long hair on his shoulders is also seated in a wooden throne in front of the Paradise. The personification of the soul of the poor Lazarus rests in his arms. He is flanked by two figures in grey color at the left and two more in grey color at the right. They turn their heads to Abraham and raise their hands praying. On the right side of the composition stands the penitent thief, who enters Paradise. He is half- Naked and wears a grey loincloth on his waist.
