Basilica of San Vitale wall mosaic decoration, apse, semi-dome: Christ, angel and bishop Ecclesius, detail of the representation of Christ Kosmokrator. On a golden background, three figures are depicted standing on flowered grass. Christ Kosmokrator, seated on a blue globe and robed in purple, stands near to a winged angel and holds a scroll with his left hand. On his left side, bishop Ecclesius offers him a model of the church.
