Description: 

The iconostasis of the main church of Saint Heraclidius is in reality a screen on which there were no icons but instead 'vela', that is to say curtains that closed off the gaps betwenn the slats as in the common Byzantine icon screens. The original screnn most probably belongs to the 14th-15th century as appears from its decoration. Later were added pieces from other scenes.
