dc.description
An inscription above the south entrance door would inform the visitor about the painter and the date of the decoration of the narthex with wall paintings. From the remnants of the inscription we are informed that the painter was from Constantinople and apparently had come to Cyprus together with the other refugees who had found refuge here after the afall of Constantinople at the hands of the Turks in1 453.
