dc.description
In the dormition of the Virgin buildings rise behind the figure of Christ, who is flanked by angels rendered in grisaille and cradles his mother's soul. The building has a covered balcony, on which two women lament. The scene includes the incident of the angel cutting off the hands of the impious Jewish high priest Jephonianh, who tried to throw down the Virgin's body.
