The fragmental relief depicts three putti between the throne of Neptune. The two putti on the left support a seashell, the one on the right holds the trident.
This fragment, together with the relief of an identical subject alike conserved in the Basilica of San Vitale in Ravenna, was part of a series of reliefs dedicated to ancient deities.
