The so-called Sarcophagus Pignatta is a Late Antique sarcophagus, probably produced in Constantinople. It represents different scenes on the four sides. The visible lateral side depicts the Annunciation to the Virgin Mary, according to apocryphal gospels. The visible back side depicts two deer near to a kantharos.
