Description
Basilica of San Vitale, wall mosaic decoration, apse, semi-dome: Christ and angels, detail of the representation of Christ Kosmokrator. On a golden background three figures are depicted standing on flowered grass. In the centre Christ Kosmokrator, seated on a blue globe and robed in purple, stands near to two winged angels; he is holding a scroll with his left hand and he is offering the martyr's crown to Saint Vitale with his right hand.
