Holy Bishopric of Morphou: Church of Our Lady of Asinou

This is all that remains of the Monastery of Phorvia and is near the village of Nikitari. The church of Our Lady of Asinou is made up of two parts: the main church and the narthex to the west. The main church is a vaulted single-aisled building with a rectangular ground plan the external dimensions of which are 10,80 x 5,80 m, The sanctuary apse is semi-circular internally and externally and projects one metre from the eastern wall.
