Description

The sarcophagus, found at the destroyed church of San Vittore in Ravenna, is dedicated by Giuliano Sosio to his wife Tetrazia and to his daughter Giuliana Sosia. On the front of sarcophagus two female figures appear on the sides, one holding a scroll, one playing the lyre. On the left side a doctor is depicted, probably an ophthalmologist, who cares for a woman. Above them the inscription: “MEMPHI GLEGORI”
