Holy Bishopric of Morphou: The Betrayal, the Way of the Cross, the Crucifixion and the Entombment, Church of Our Lady of Asinou

These wall-paintings are inferior to those on the narthex in terms of their striking use of colour and the painter's weaknesses in design. In these, the influences of Western models are marked, particularly in the drapery of the secular figures in iconographic subjects- fro example the armed soldiers. Another borrowing from the Wesr is the fact that the Theotokos is shown fainting in the scene of the Crucifixion.
