Ravenna, Basilica of San Giovanni Evangelista: floor mosaic fragment depicting a scene of animal funeral procession at the fox funeral. A small dove is holding an olive branch and a goose is holding a thurible. The representation of animal funeral procession, as part of the fox funeral depiction, has been interpreted as episode of the medieval fables collection “Roman de Renart”.
