Holy Bishopric of Morphou: The Guardian Archangel Michael, Church of the Theotokos in Galata

The re-naming is perhaps explained by the large scale depiction of the Archangel Michael to the right of the visitor entering the church from the north door or by the transfer to the church of an icon with the Archangel Michael, which belonged originally to the nearby church of the Virgin Podithou.
