Ravenna, Basilica di San Giovanni Evangelista, Assalto alla città di Zara

Fragment of floor mosaic depicting a warrior wielding a weapon in front of three people in civilian clothes in front of a tower representing the city of Zadar. The fragment was part of a cycle showing episodes of the Fourth Crusade, which together with the panels with animals still preserved in the Basilica constituted the new floor of the church commissioned by Abbot Gugliemo in 1213
