Description
Sarcophagus of St. Felix, Archbishop of Ravenna. On the front, two sheep approach the centre; it is decorated with stylized temples with round arches, featuring hanging polycandela; the scene is framed by columns and chandeliers at both sides. In the centre a stylized architecture features a pediment and acroteria on columns, framing a staurogram. The lid is decorated by plaited frames on the margins and by a central longitudinal cross, which is flanked by two wreaths, that enclose crosses. The lid, along the front margin, bears a latin inscription remembering the deceased.
