Detail of a composite two-zone capital from St. Clement basilica's crypt, with a basket shape kalathos decorated with a wooden pattern, lying on an early imperial Roman column (1st-2nd c.), reused and re-carved in the 6th c. AD. It is decorated with low-relief shoots and branches.
