Holy Bishopric of Morphou: Supplication, Church of the Virgin Podithou in Galata

On either side of the west entrance of the church there is arranged a monumental scene of the Deesis or Supplication the Virgin Mother in a beseeching tance towards a figure of Christ facing us abd holding an open book, Both figures are depicted beneath arched frames for greater emphasis.
