Description
Department of Antiquities, Republic of Cyprus, Salamis (Famagusta), Basilica of Kampanopetra. Three-aisled basilica, built in the 6th (?) century (in ruins). It is one of the largest and the most magnificent basilicas in Cyprus. The most interesting feature of the basilica of Campanopetra is the existence of a second atrium with three porticoes (east of the central apse) that resembles the Constantinian Basilica at Calvary.
