Description
Archiepiscopal Chapel, wall mosaic decoration, vestibule, lunette: detail of Christ treading on the beasts. Jesus Christ is depicted beardless, crowned with jewelled halo and dressed in tunic, clam and lorica. He is holding a cross rod and an open book with the words: Ego sum via veritas et vita. (Late 5th-early 6th c.)
