Ludovisi Dionysus

Colossal group of Dionysus and Satyr. On the right, a panther with a paw on a cornucopia. Roman copy of a Greek Hellenistic original. The sculpture was discovered in the 16th century in Rome, on the Quirinal Hill at the time foundations were being dug for Palazzo Mattei at Quattro Fontane.
