Holy Bishopric of Morphou: View of the dome of the main church of Saint Heraclidius with the Pantocrator the Preparation of the Throne and the Prophets and the four Evangelists, Monastery of Saint John Lampadistis in Kalopanayiotis

In the special holoow of the dome the Pantocrator ids depicted, while in the area surrounding the latter, is depicted above the east window, the ' 'Hetoimasia' ' 'Preparation of the Throne'. Above the west window is painted a cherubim. Eight angels in a supplicatory stance, four on each side, are heading for the 'Preparation of the Throne', the symbol par excellence of the Second Coming.
