Description
From Rome, basilica of St. Peter, St. Petronilla's Chapel. Round pendant made by two cameo in agatha stone, fastened to a golden foil by four emeralds and ten rubies. On the cameo there are inscriptions in Latin set around the Chrismon. This jewel has been attributed to Maria, first wife of Emperor Honorius, and daughter of Serena and General Stilicho.
