Basilica of Saint Apollinaire in Classe, wall mosaic decoration, apse, south wall: Abel, Abraham and Melchizedek Sacrificing, episodes of Genesis. In the middle, Melchizedek is depicted beside an altar with bread and kantharos. On his right side Abraham is represented with his son Isaac, on the left side Abel is figured, offering a lamb. Dextera Dei is depicted on the scene top, on the left.
