dc.description<p>National Museum of Ravenna, polychrome wall mosaic fragments from the Basilica of Saint Vitale. The angel’s head belongs to the mosaic decoration of the groin vault. One of the four angels, supporting the central clypeus on the south vault frame, was partially remade in 1855.</p>
