dc.description<p>The post-Byzantine carved wooden sanctuary screen, which dates from the sixteenth century, is preserved in the church. The painting of the carved wooden sanctuary door is of exceptional quality and dates from the same period. The first depicts St John the Baptist and is an afine example of Comnenan painting.</p>
