Behind Nicephorus in this scene stands a woman whose name is Gepgyra (Bridge), sumptuously dressed and accompanied by the following th of the month of December of the inscription:' ' On the 17th of the month of December of the 15th indict of the year 1099 the servant of God Gephyra fell asleep''. Local oral tradition represents Gephyra as the daughter of Nicephorus.
