It is a crowed scene, an almost complete orchestra, made up of men and women playing trumpets, drums, and cymbals. At the feet of the ridiculed Christ- who, clad in a scarlet robe, wears a crown of thorns and carries a reed in his right hand- two young dancers wave their hand, which are covered by their long sleeves in accordance with the Byzantine and Western dance tradition.
